Following the success of the Trailwalker Challenge last year, the team are now preparing for one of the toughest challenges they may ever have to face - Talisker Whisky Challenge 2017.
The aim for the team is row across the Atlantic between 37-80 days and raise £100,000 for the Movember Foundation. The challenge will include competing against the elements, other teams and themselves.
The team will fly out to La Gomera on the 29th November later this year and the race starts on the 14th December when they will be facing 40 foot waves, storms and an unrelenting 2 hour on, 2 hour off schedule 24 hours a day for 3,000 miles until they finish in Antigua.
Steve Baker, our colleague has said “To row the Atlantic would be a huge conquest, and to do it for a charity like Movember would be an honour. We understand what lies ahead of us and what we may face, but how many other people can claim they have undertaken something as massive as this in their lifetime?”
The team currently has been undertaking a number of events over the year and will continue over the next few months in addition to their training and preparations.
There will be opportunities to get involved in a variety of ways and you can sponsor the Nuts over the Atlantic by clicking here.
