BMT Hi-Q Sigma has expanded its core strengths in Maritime Systems Engineering and Programme Management to be BMT Group’s Management Consultancy company, offering a broad range of Portfolio, Programme and Project improvement services in the Government, Defence, Energy and Transport sectors.
Established in Bath in 2003, with 13 employees, the original BMT Sigma merged with BMT Hi-Q Systems in 2009. As BMT Hi-Q Sigma, the new business grew steadily, combining its core strengths in Systems Engineering and Programme Management to deliver an innovative blend of skills to its customers, mainly in the Maritime arena. Over the last few years, rapid expansion has seen growth in Defence and diversification into Government, Energy and Transport markets within the UK and internationally.
Now with over 100 employees, the range of our services has increased, delivered by staff committed to providing excellence to our customers and our determination to invest fully in our people. This dedication and hard work has evolved the fledgling company of five years ago into the mature and dynamic business it is today.
The last 18 months has seen an exciting string of major contract wins, an expanding list of customers and an increase in the number of strategic partners we work with, drawn primarily from the local area. Our growth aspirations over the next five years mean that we are actively looking to attract and retain more talented individuals locally and increasingly utilise the services of local printers, catering, maintenance and transport companies. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have increased our involvement and sponsorship of local academic institutions to inspire more young people into a bright future in Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics (STEM) careers. Committed to Bath and the South West, we were delighted to open our new head office at Berkeley House in April 2014, with Local MP Don Foster and the Mayor of Bath, Councillor Malcolm Lees at the ceremony.
