Joan Langley

Joan is a highly proficient project management practitioner with particular expertise in risk management, programme management, project management, mentoring, facilitation, training delivery and generally project controls (including value management, earned value management and planning management).

Her earlier career was spent in the rail industry where she led large teams in project controls with the additional responsibility for introducing structured risk management into a multi-million pound rail project delivery organisation, and for mobilising controls, planning and risk on a £600m+ programme of work.

Prior to joining BMT Hi-Q Sigma, Joan worked full-time as a professional trainer and developed and delivered many training modules on the subject of project management with particular emphasis on risk, planning, and value management. She is able to facilitate and manage workshops and meetings and intelligently compile and communicate the results to support better decision making.  In addition, she is an excellent communicator who thrives in a challenging environment with the ability to influence decisions and develop positive relationships with stakeholders.

Joan also has experience of developing and leading performance measurement baseline reviews and integrated baselines reviews and other major programme reviews.

She has a proven track record in effectively assisting and managing suppliers and contractors. Joan has spoken at numerous conferences.
